Machine carpet cleaning in the Prague Congress Centre

A carpet in an office is one thing. A carpet in the Prague Congress Centre is a slightly different discipline. This time our one-off cleaning team headed exactly there, where at the client's request we carried out machine cleaning of carpeted areas.

In spaces that hundreds or even thousands of people walk through during events, carpets take a real beating. Regular maintenance keeps everyday cleanliness in check, but from time to time more thorough machine cleaning is needed, one that reaches dirt settled deeper in the fibres. Only then does the carpet not just look clean but also last longer and not look tired, which is especially important in prestigious spaces such as halls, galleries and staircases.

Given the size of the premises, this was definitely not a job for one person. The whole specialised one-off cleaning team therefore went to the Congress Centre, led by operations manager Gabriela Novotná. The photos show how large the areas were: long carpets on the stands, staircases and the space around the stage.

Events like this are a good illustration of why we have a dedicated service team for one-off and more demanding cleaning. When a large space, special equipment and limited time have to be managed, we can deploy experienced people at once where they are needed, and organise the work so that it does not disturb the operation of the building.

Jobs like these also show how important it is to agree with the client in advance on the scope of work, the date and the handover. Before every job we therefore walk through the premises, identify the types of surfaces and soiling, and choose the equipment and procedure accordingly. This lets us keep to the schedule and gives the client a predictable result. We use the same approach for carpeted areas in offices, hotels and social venues.
